- Retirement
Feb 24 2010 10:05 PM
Hey, everyone.
As the title suggests, I'm officially retiring as a member of the High Command. I'm not leaving DR, but I don't currently play many PC games and I just think it's time for me to step down. I'll stick around and give advice when I can, and hopefully I'll return to the gaming front with you guys before too long.
I've kind of lost track of the time I've spent in DE and DR, which just goes to show how long I've been here. I do know that I've been an HC member for almost three years between both clans. In that time, we've had our share of changes and drama. More importantly, though, we've had a lot of good times playing together and just messing around. I've never been the most outspoken HC member, so some of you might not even know me, but I've always tried to work hard and to be a voice of moderation in the HC so that you guys can focus on what you're really here for: the people and the games.
As a founder, I'm really proud of what Dark Resistance has become. Here we are about two and a half years after the two clans merged and things are going great. We're still the most kick-ass clan around. We really are a family, and that's just not something many clans offer. I've spent a lot of time talking to and gaming with some of you in the past. Since I'm not really going anywhere, I'm not going to write a long list. You know who you are, and you should know that I've had a lot of fun over the years. But even for those I didn't get to know, thanks for making DR what it is.
Finally, with my retirement, the High Command will be returning to its original number of six members. Therefore, no successor will be appointed. With that, I leave the future of Dark Resistance in the hands of the High Command, the more-than-capable command staff, and all of you, the members. I have high hopes for all of you.
Thank you. (-DR-)
